The Fogatti 8 Pro stands out among other models by including a slim water-mixing tank to create consistent hot water temperatures when you use it. It prevents hot and cold fluctuations by blending hot and cold water together. The 21.5 square-inch tank acts as a buffer, allowing the heater to operate more efficiently and give more reliable performance. The addition of this tank adds a little more depth needed for install, but not by much. If you've often complained that your water changes temperature while you're showering or doing the dishes, the Pro is the Fogatti 8 that you'll want.
If you're replacing an old tank or tankless water heater, you'll want to pick a water heater with a door that will at least be as large as the current access door on your RV. Be sure to search for the water heater that includes the correct size you need.

Fogatti's tankless hot water heaters are popular for being efficient and quality options, but which model would be best for you? Let me give you a quick summary:
Fogatti 7: Lower Btus and lower flow rate compared to the 8s. This can be a good pick, though, because that means you're using less propane to heat water. If you aren't trying to heat very cold water, and you don't expect that anyone else is going to be using hot water while you're in the shower, then this will be a perfectly fine option, especially if you use low-flow fixtures for conserving water. I'd recommend it for solo campers or couples who almost never camp in cold months.
Fogatti 8 Plus: Higher Btus and flow rate while being the same size as the 7. You'll get slightly better performance, and it will be more effective at heating colder water. The extra flow rate won't necessarily allow you to run both a faucet and a shower at the same time without noticing a difference, since both fixtures can use 2.5 gallons per minute. But if you have a higher-flow shower head, this can keep up better. I'd recommend it if you're likely to camp when it gets chilly overnight and want a little extra performance.
Fogatti 8 Pro: This is the same as the 8 Plus, with the addition of a water mixing tank. This tank adds a few more inches to its depth, but that generally won't be much of an issue, especially if you're replacing a water heater with a tank. I'd recommend it if any variance in water temperature is going to really annoy you.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Fogatti InstaShower 8 Pro RV Tankless Water Heater with mixing tank and this metal black hinge door. Now if you're wondering about the differences between the InstaShower 7, 8 Plus, and the 8 Pro as we have here, take a closer look at this product page on the lower portion of this page, and on there, we have provided some really good summaries for you on each of those water heaters. So you can look over those summaries and decide for yourself which water heater is going to work great for your particular application. But as for this 8 Pro, this features 55,000 Btus, and this is going to heat 2.9 gallons per minute, which is gonna be greater than the average water flow of an RV shower.
The mixing tank that you see here on the back, that's going to combine the hot and cold water to help eliminate temperature fluctuations, reducing the risk of hot water scalding. And the addition of that tank is going to add just a little bit more depth needed to install, as you can see there, but not by much. If you often complain that your water changes temperature while you're taking a shower or doing the dishes, this 8 Pro is going to be a really great heater for you to consider. This larger size black hinged metal door with this flat lock is going to give you easy access to clean or maintain your water heater. This door is sized for replacing a six-gallon tank on water heaters with a 15-inch tall by 18-inch wide access door.
Now other sizes and colors of this door is available for this water heater. So on your screen, I am putting a chart there showing you the different doors that you can get for this water heater. So as you can see bolded there on the etrailer Part Number is the water heater and the black door that we're looking at now, and you can see the size of this door's kind of in the middle range there, but we do have smaller options available and we have larger options available. So whichever one's gonna work best for your application, you can just take that etrailer part number, pop in the search field of our website, and that will take you to the water heater, this water heater with the door that's going to work best for your application. So this efficient propane burner is going to heat the water only when you use your faucets or shower.
And the higher Btus are gonna make this a great choice in cold weather if we're using a lot of hot water at once. The pilot ignition type is automatic, and I'm kind of holding this door into place because I didn't use the hardware to actually install it, so I just kind of have it slid in there. That's why I'm kind of holding it when I have that door open, just so you know. This does include a wall controller with the digital display that's going to let you adjust temperature and show diagnostic error codes. The temperature setting's gonna be from 95 to 123 degrees Fahrenheit, and the water pressure is gonna be 14 1/2 to 116 PSI.
The preferred pressure's gonna be 40 to 45 PSI. Now the internal safety components are gonna protect you, your family, and your RV. For instance, this is going to automatically cut off gas if the flame goes out to prevent leaks in your RV. Let's talk dimensions. So looking at just the water heater first, the overall width and height is gonna be 13 inches, and then the overall depth without our door is going to be right at about 15 13/16 inches deep. Then if you add the door, again, from the front to the end of that tank, you're gonna be sitting at about 16 and 3/8 inches deep. And as I mentioned, our door here is gonna be right at about 15 inches tall by 18 inches wide. And this is going to be a pretty simple installation with the included hardware. This is gonna use your existing lines and cutout, and additional cutout depth is gonna be needed to make those connections in the back. Instructions are also included to guide you through the operation and installation. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
Easy to install, and works great!
Easy, clean install and works great. Great price from etrailer and as always great support.
I e installed several of this model now and am happy to say they have all worked flawlessly. Not a single problem and super easy installation.
Easy installation, have test it but have not camped with it yet
Product was as described and was delivered the next day.that alone makes etrailer the place to shop
A little difficult to place in where a 20 year old atwood was before, but with some fabrication I was able to get it to fix. It's nice not having to wait for it to heat a full tank just to get hot water.
the controller should be a sealed product. not one to take apart to access mounting holes then trying to pull wire harness through the pass thru leaving potential for damage to PCA or components. otherwise unit works as advertised, install was a breeze.

What I like about this version of the Fogatti InstaShower 8 Pro is that it’s the same dependable heater, but it already comes with a 15 by 15 white door in the box. That makes install simpler and saves you from hunting down a separate kit. I was impressed during testing at how stable the temperature stayed thanks to the built-in mixing tank, which keeps the water consistent even if someone else opens a faucet. My favorite part is how much it feels like a regular home shower, but in an RV setup. That said, this package is really meant for folks who use a lot of hot water or camp in cooler weather. If you’ve got a smaller camper, travel alone, or don’t need as much hot water, a lighter unit like the InstaShower 7 or 8 Plus might be a better fit.
The Fogatti InstaShower 8 Pro is a good fit if you want steady hot water without the sudden cold blasts or scalding spikes that can happen in RV showers. I like that this model adds a slim mixing tank, which blends hot and cold water so the temperature stays consistent even when someone else turns on a faucet. In my demo I explained that it runs at 55,000 BTUs and about 2.9 gallons per minute, which is stronger than the average RV shower and makes it a solid choice for cold-weather camping or for folks who use more hot water at once. I think the included 15 by 18 white door makes installation easier if you are replacing a six-gallon tank water heater, and the hinged design also gives you simple access for maintenance. For RVers who get frustrated by fluctuating water temps, the 8 Pro tankless water heater offers a dependable fix while still being straightforward to install. The 8 Pro is a bit deeper because of the mixing tank, so if space is tight or you just want the simplest install, the Plus version avoids that extra bulk. If you usually camp in warmer climates and don’t use a lot of hot water, the InstaShower 7 or the 8 Plus might be a better fit. They use less propane and still keep up with a typical RV shower.
we are absolutely THRILLED with it. It has been a total game changer. After almost 5 years of full-time RV life, I was getting very tired of short showers. I now look forward to actually relaxing when I'm showering instead of rushing. It is super easy to use and adjust, and we LOVE it. After fighting with our old Dometic water heater, burnt wires, blown circuit boards, and short showers, we finally swapped it for the Fogatti tankless from etrailer. The install wasn’t plug-and-play. We made a few hardware store runs for the right fittings and dealt with tight flex-hose connections. Once sorted, wiring and setup were straightforward. If you’re comfortable with DIY and have a little patience, you can absolutely tackle it. Now the difference is night and day: steady, endless hot water and an easy wall controller to dial in the temp. This upgrade has been a keeper for our RV life. Check out our Youtube channel "Why Not Wander" to see the install!
